La Closerie de Gigny is the ideal starting point for discovering the rich heritage, architecture and gastronomy of Burgundy.

Located in the Yonne department on the border of the Côte d'Or and Aube, La Closerie de Gigny is 30' from Chablis, 20' from Les Riceys and 1h20 from Dijon.

Gigny is a small, peaceful farming village, the only one in the Yonne to boast an elegant twisted bell tower.

The region, famous for its wine and châteaux, offers a wealth of activities and outings.

One property, three houses:

- “Maison des Sœurs”, built in 1897 by Abbé Laventureux, is a former hospice run by the Sisters of Charity of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul.

- The “Maison Templiere” dates back to the time of the Templars, and its cushions, fireplace and the remains of a mullioned window were preserved and enhanced during the renovation.

- Maison Marguerite”, a typical local house, was completely renovated in 2023. Pleasant and convivial, they feature large living rooms, ideal for gatherings in a warm atmosphere.

Yes, both properties are family-friendly. 


La Templiére offers plenty of outdoor space and a private pool, while Maison Marguerite's peaceful garden is perfect for families with children. 


Each of the houses has plenty of play equipment for children.


High chairs and cots are available on request.

Un lieu reposant , un lieu parfait pour décompresser et passer de jolie moment en famille et entre amis.

Virginie vous accueille avec sympathie et chaleur dans ce petit cocon rénové et décoré avec goût qui redonne une âme douce et joyeuse à ce lieu charmant et agréable.

Formidable endroit, où le temps semble s’être arrêté. Une pause en dehors du monde, dans un lieu magnifiquement décoré, avec beaucoup de goût sans verser dans le tape l’œil. Literie très confortable, il ne l’abaque rien. A un jet de pierre du centre du village, extrêmement calme, piscine très appréciable l’été. Je recommande chaudement.

  • What amenities are included at Villa Solara and Casa di Limoni?

    Both properties come fully equipped with Wi-Fi, kitchens with modern appliances, private outdoor spaces, and comfortable living areas. La Templière also features a private pool, while Maison Marguerite has a charming garden and  petanque court.

  • Is parking available at the properties?

    Yes, both La Templière and Maison Marguerite have free private parking spaces available for guests.


  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in is from 5:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. 


    Whenever possible, for weekend stays only , an earlier arrival and a later departure can be arranged according to the plannig.

  • Are the properties family-friendly?

    Yes, both properties are family-friendly. Villa Solara offers plenty of outdoor space and a private pool, and Casa di Limoni’s peaceful garden is perfect for families with children. High chairs and cribs are available upon request.
